It looks like its all TV shows this week. Something about a new fall season starting up.
How I Met Your Mother Season Five is, I’m sure, full of instant classic humor that has to be watched in order. That’s why I’ll be watching this whole season before starting the current one. I’m a season behind due to wrestling also being on Monday nights. Hopefully this season will be better, now that HIMYM is on at 8 PM.
Modern Family (Season One) and Castle (Season Two) are two shows I’ve been told I would enjoy immensely. I’ve yet to watch an episode but maybe this will be the week. Any opinions? Are these shows as good as made out to be?
On the other hand, I have seen every episode of Community (Season One) and Human Target (Season One). Both shows were so good I expected them to be cancelled with unaired episodes left. However, they’ve both been picked up for second seasons. Community is one of the smartest ensembles on all of TV with the past (Chevy Chase) present (Joel McHale) and future (Donald Glover) of comedy all in one place. Human Target is the most intense action show of the season. Every week there’s an unbelievable yet brilliant fight. Even the sub plots are action packed.
TNA Best of the Asylum Years features 6 hours of classic TNA wrestling from their early years in Nashville. The best part of the set is seeing early X Division matches featuring the pioneers of the “this is awesome” style of wrestling. AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, America’s Most Wanted and the winner of NXT Season 2, Low Ki (AKA Kaval).
Pick of the week goes to Festival of Fright. A three disc collection of classic horror movie trailers. Weighing in at three and a half hours this is guaranteed to create the full spectrum of emotions in any viewer. From laughter to fright, from terror to joy.
